Tour Details & Itinerary

*On this tour we discourage single accommodation due to limited space available in Lesotho

Day 1

We depart from Pretoria & Roodepoort and follow the route via the N3, to reach our destination for today, late afternoon. The very popular Sani Pass Hotel

Day 2

After breakfast we will be collected by comfortable 4×4 vehicles. We enter Lesotho via the Sani Pass, and enjoy a short walk that will take us to the vantage point to view Thabana Ntlenyana– the highest peak in Southern Africa at 3482m. Then we travel to Mokhotlong via the beautiful Sehonghong Valley. There we will stop at Makhapung Village for an ethnic Basotho experience. After a short drive, we arrive in Mokholtlong, once known as the remotest outpost in the British Empire. Here we stop for lunch. We depart from Mokhoitlong and travel to New Oxbow Lodge, our first night’s accommodation

Day 3

After an early morning breakfast, we depart from New Oxbow and travel towards Buthe-Buthe for a tea stop. We will collect our packed lunches and head towards the Katze dam, then we will enjoy a tour of the Katze dam wall. We stop at the Bokong Nature Reserve where beauty and serenity lie within the waterfalls. We travel back to Mothebong Lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 4

After breakfast we depart from Mothebong and travel via Thaba Tseka, Linakaneng and St. James Mission to a local establishment at the top of Sani Pass for dinner and accommodation.

Day 5

We have breakfast overlooking Kwa Zulu Natal, before we descend via the Sani Pass back to Underberg. We will spend our last evening in the Sani Pass Hotel

Day 6

All good things must come to an end. We leave the beautiful Sani Pass Hotel and head back home to Pretoria and Roodepoort, with beautiful memories of this amazing tour!!
